Plunked Review By:Kooper

Do you like or play baseball? If you do then this is the book for you.

First, lets talk about the great setting of a baseball field, Andys house, and at school. At the baseball field, during practice Jack was backing out of inside pitches and couldn't make even an Ok play. At Andys house Jack and Andy were supposed to be doing homework but, they turned on the kinect and accidently knocked down this Ireland glass that is a one of a kind. At school before the Rockies game Jack is talking about how bad Manny is going to pitch in the game. The next practice Manny gets so mad at Jack he hits him in the ribs with a pitch. As you can see if you like baseball then you will love the setting of this book.
Next, lets talk about the actualbaseball in the book, Manny has a meltdown, they play there first game rival, and Jack gets a game winning hit. During the Manny meltdown the secondary pitcher just does terrible and gets so mad that he hits 2 people. During the 1st game rival this is when Jack gets hit in the head with a pitch and it changes the story alot. During Jacks game winning hit Jack makes up is mind to play again and it was a good choice, he got a game winning hit. The baseball part of this book is very interesting. If you like interesting and baseball together then you will love the baseball part of this book.
Finally lets talk about the amazing action of Jack getting hit in the head, Jack missing a game over a fake injury, and Jack thinking about quitting the team. During Jack getting hit in the head this huge pitcher on the Haven Yankees hits him and may give him a minor concussion. During Jack missing a game because of a fake injury, Jack dives for a ball in practice and its looks like he could've sprained his wrist, but he doesn't and he acts like he's hurt because he's afraid he is going to get hit again. During Jack thinking about quitting the team, Jack is scared of getting hit by the ball so he is thinking about quitting baseball forever.
You can see that this is a fascinating book, with the great setting, amazing action, and the baseball. So, the next time you go to a book store buy the book Plunked.
